Day 0 was spent travelling to the mission house and also exploring the places nearby!

Was supposed to help Ps Kathy (our host) move some stuff but didn’t get to because of the flight delays. But still got to chat with her a bit, a 70-year-old pastor who is full of energy, full of conviction, full of love.

Hearing from her does make me think about the side of missions that modern-day Christians more often overlook — building a local church and local community where those who are reached could belong and be discipled. It’s easier for us to commit to a STM, or go somewhere to evangelise, but it takes missionaries like this to continually impact the local community.

I’m thankful that I’m in a parachurch mission trip and I get to experience things like this. And it makes me wonder if we as a Church could do more to help these missionaries in the Kingdom 🤷🏻‍♂️🙏🏻

Also, the rest of the team will be flying in tonight and tomorrow morning. Do keep them in your prayers!
